Nashville Launches Foundational Health Survey

Metro Public Health Department (MPH) and NashvilleHealth are partnering to launch a community-wide survey of the health of Nashville residents. The assessment of more than 3,000 residents will provide valuable new data about health-related behaviors, chronic health conditions, preventive health practices and how the local environment impacts the opportunity for wellbeing.
“This project will provide comprehensive baseline health data for Davidson County – data that do not exist today,” said Senator Bill Frist, M.D., chairman of NashvilleHealth. “It will be critical to better understanding the health needs of our city and measuring the effectiveness of our interventions and collective programs moving forward.”
The last time Davidson County conducted a survey project such as this one was in 2000 when the city’s population was less than 550,00
