NASHVILLE – Molly Sudderth has joined NashvilleHealth as the organization’s director of Community Engagement. Founded in 2015 by former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, NashvilleHealth is creating a culture of health and wellbeing in Davidson County.
At NashvilleHealth, Sudderth will assist with implementation of key strategies to support the organization’s efforts to build a collective, community-wide approach toward a culture of health. She will also be responsible for managing communications and outreach efforts.
“Bringing Molly on board represents an investment in a key driver of our mission: catalyzing and collaborating with partners in Nashville who are doing the amazing work of making health a critical piece of life for us all,” said Caroline Young, NashvilleHealth executive director. “Molly’s skills, grown while working with leaders in health, public administration and communications, are just what we need.”
Sudderth comes to NashvilleHealth as momentum is building around the organization’s collaborative work with partners in the community on serious health challenges including child health, hypertension and tobacco cessation.
Most recently, she served as senior director of Community Engagement at the Governor’s Foundation for Health and Wellness and was responsible for leading the foundation’s Healthier Tennessee Communities program.
Sudderth has worked in communications in both the public and private sectors in Tennessee for almost 20 years, including serving in senior positions with the Nashville Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, the Office of former Nashville Mayor Bill Purcell and the Tennessee Departments of Children’s Services and Economic and Community Development.
